Rocky Mountain Nordic is pleased to announce another season of the Colorado Cup.

Colorado Cup is firmly established as the premier cross-country ski race series in the Rocky Mountain region. The goal of Colorado Cup is to inspire fun and friendly ski racing all winter long, while increasing the level of competition for all age groups.

The Colorado Cup was revived by Nathan Schultz and Matt Muir in 2004, and it is rapidly gaining popularity. During the 06-07 ski season the Rocky Mountain Nordic Ski Education Foundation (a division of the United States Ski Association for the Rocky Mountain region) took over the governance of Colorado Cup. RMN will strive to maintain the high standard and work to grow the numbers of happy ski racers.

Each race in the Colorado Cup Series is scored and points are tallied for the top 20 men and women overall, and for the top 5 men and women in every age group. Scoring is updated after every race and skiers can check their standings on Rocky Mountain Nordic’s website, www.rmnordic.org. Each skier’s 6 best individual results will be counted toward the overall cup standings. Overall winners and age group winners will receive awards and possibly prizes and/or prize money at the Colorado Cup Season Finale. In order to be scored, a Rocky Mountain Nordic membership/racing license will be required.

Membership form is available for download at www.rmnordic.org/infoforms. RMN members will receive a RMN hat or headband (still working on that one), e-news and an offer for a discounted subscription to Cross Country Skier magazine.

Please contact Ivana Radlova (970.879.7649, ivana@rmnordic.org) with any questions and/or suggestions.

Have a great season!
