Enman, Underwood Win Lake Placid Loppet

Eli Enman (Rossignol) skied away from Justin Freeman (Factory Team) to win the 50km Freestyle event at the 2008 Lake Placid. The Lake Placid course is considered one of the toughest marathon courses in the country. Skiers race the challenging Olympic trails, where one large climb follows another. Enman finished in a time of 2:27:13.6. Freeman was +4:35. Eric Tremble took the third spot.

Kate Underwood (Factory Team) dominated the women's race, winning in a time of 2:48:07.2. Nikki Kimball (Madshus) took second, +8:32, and Jenny Townsend completed the podium.
