USSA has added the ability to sign-up and renew memberships on the USSA website. On-line membership tools can be accessed using the “Membership Tools” select menu at the right of the USSA homepage or can be found here:

You will need to create on account with USSA.org in order to access the on-line membership tools.
The renewal and membership creation process is lengthy (definitely longer than filling in and faxing or mailing the old form), but provides the convenience of internet registration that many of us expect. In fact it is amazing that it has taken USSA this long to provide a relatively basic tool.
Renewing members can link in their current membership number – though there is no security feature to prevent someone for linking to another skier's existing membership.
Overall this is a welcome addition to the USSA site, but the process could have been streamlined and the overall user experience significantly improved.
