Kikkan Randall skied to a 16 second victory over USST and APU teammate Laura Valaas in the 6km mass start event. Kristina Strandberg (XC Oregon/Factory Team) rounded out the podium another 10 seconds behind Valaas. The field was not large – 20 women completed the race, but it was very competitive. Tazlina Manniz (APU/USST) was fourth.
In the men's race, Lars Flora (APU/Factory Team) beat out APU's Jeff Ellis by 21 seconds. Yet another APU skier, Anders Haugen, took third, 11 seconds behind Ellis. 21 men completed the 9km course.
