Boulder Nordic Sport has opened their full-service mobile ski shop in West Yellowstone for the Fall Ski Festival. BNS provides stone grinding, waxing and ski flex testing during the fall camp with a staff of four in Yellowstone November 22-30, 2008.
Engineered Tuning will be set up at Rendezvous Snowmobile Rentals, 415 Yellowstone Ave in West Yellowstone, just West of the Holiday Inn Expo. Skis can be dropped off during the festival at the grinding shop from 8-9AM, 1:30-2:30PM and 7-9PM at the grinding shop as well as at the indoor Expo at the Holiday Inn Convention Center. BNS will host an open house Friday, November 24th from 3:30-5:30PM to demonstrate the stone grinding process, flex testing and BNS's ski selection process.
BNS owner Nathan Schultz commented, “we're excited to once again be in Yelowstone to kick off the season. The skiing is great here and we've started off busy, so we're happy that the effort it takes to drag the entire operation up here is a benefit to the ski community.”
Boulder Nordic Sport is also launching a new structure tool and metal scraper in Yellowstone with Ace Co Finite Finish of Boise, Idaho. The professional ski structure roller applies structure to skis with a tool body and interchangeable reverse-cutting structure drums and is far more affordable than competing tools, with pricing at $199 for the tool body, $299 for a kit with tool body and two rollers and $499 for the kit with 5 structure drums (See photos below).
The new BNS metal scraper was developed after extensive testing by BNS ski techs to find the perfect balance between stiffness, cut quality and ease of sharpening. Both tools are available at bouldernordicsport.com, at Boulder Nordic Sport's retail location and at the Yellowstone Ski Festival.
