High School Seniors and Older Juniors: Are you interested in training in Steamboat Springs, “Ski Town USA” next year?
The SSWSC is one of the largest, oldest, and most successful Winter Sports Clubs in the U.S. The SSWSC X-C Post-Grad program is offering a comprehensive training and competition program commencing this summer!
Target Group – We are interested in motivated athletes who have completed their high school education and want to commit full time to ski training in order to expand their college skiing possibilities, compete for a spot on the World Junior Team, and become better prepared to compete on the NCAA level.
Program overview –
– Train amongst World-Class Winter Sports Athletes
– On snow training possibilities from October to May
– Full time, one on one coaching, with optimal coach support throughout the season. Racing opportunities include- Western Super Tour and NRL/Collegiate races, U.S. Nationals, RMN Junior National Qualifiers, Junior Nationals, and the possibility of U.S. Distance Nationals or Canadian Nationals.
– Training plan design based on future goals and individual demands.
– Participation in Regional and National dry-land camps.
– Periodic lactate testing.
– Housing arrangements, employment opportunities, and scholarship possibilities are available
– Program could begin once school is finished or the end of summer, depending upon individual preferences.
– Athletes will be encouraged to work part-time and/or take a light load of classes at Colorado Mountain College (This will not effect NCAA eligibility).
– In-State status may be attained if you are looking to attend college in the state of Colorado
