Boulder Nordic Sport Hires Roger Knight, Will Distribute SkiGo

Knight to Manage Wax Brands, Develop Ski*Go Wax, Glove and Clothing Lines.

Roger Knight has joined Boulder Nordic Sport (BNS) as the Director of Team and Eastern Operations.  He brings the US distribution of Ski*Go Wax, Tools, Gloves, Rollerskis and Skiwear to BNS and will focus on developing the Ski*Go and Holmenkol brands in the US.  Knight contributes extensive experience in the cross-country ski industry after working as Nordic Product Manager at Swix USA for six years before spending the last 5 years building the Ski*Go brand at Peak Performance in Maine.

Ski*Go is based in Kiruna, Sweden and owned by former Swedish cross-country skiing star Christer Majbäck. Majbäck purchased the company in 1996 and has turned it into a world-renowned wax brand by concentrating his passion and knowledge into the development of wax, gloves, poles and now rollerskis.  Majbäck’s approach has been to lead in product development knowing that superior products will sell well with little marketing support. Majbäck visited BNS in Boulder in early August to meet BNS staff, present the wax line and discuss product development, distribution and marketing.  “Roger has done an incredible job for Ski*Go in the US, and I am very excited to work with a group that knows so much about the technical side of skiing and also has strong relationships with teams and skiers.”
