Cross-country skiing has a rich and varied history – from epic battles between Olympic greats to continuing evolution of technology and technique. FasterSkier is giving you the chance to share a part of your personal skiing history through the the first FasterSkier Vintage Photo Contest, generously sponsored by Madshus.  Open up those old albums and shoe boxes full of photos, scan them, and email them to us.   Win prizes from Madhus, and more importantly be crowned the Madshus/FasterSkier ‘Vintage’ Photo contest champion.

Additionally, all entrants may choose to be entered in a drawing for a pair of new 2008 Madshus Hypersonic Classic skis (please see details below). You do not have to submit a photo to enter the drawing for the skis.

Theme: “Vintage”

All photos must be at least 15 years old (taken in 1994 or earlier) and have something to do with Nordic skiing!  All entries must be digitally submitted by the photographer using this form.  If you just want to enter the drawing for the skis, please use the same form.

The deadline for the contest is:
12:00 Midnight, EST
Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Photo contest winners will be posted in a gallery as soon as possible following the conclusion of the contest.

Anyone can participate regardless of whether you are a professional or an amateur. You can submit up to THREE photos per person, maximum! Images will be judged by FasterSkier.

Best of all, this contest is FREE! There are absolutely no entry fees… so enter today!

Are there prizes? Yes. But just think, you’ll get your really cool picture posted on FasterSkier as part of a winning photo gallery. Find your best photo and send it along. It only takes a few minutes minutes.

Your not so inspirational inspiration:

The crew at FasterSkier dusted off a few of their own to get you fired up to participate in this fun contest.  Bad suits, bad sun glasses, too many neon colors, and worst of all t-grip ski poles… check, check, check and unfortunately CHECK!
