The Dawn Mountain Challenge (DMC) is the culmination of years of lusting and yearning for a fun, non sanctioned early season ski festival in Golden, BC. With the DMC entering its second season, we are getting bigger and better by offering a longer sprint course with a longer and wider downhill section but with the same killer climb. We have also spent a lot of time this fall prepping at Dawn Mountain, the Golden Nordic Ski Club’s winter playground. We have constructed a new stadium and also have done significant upgrades to our race trails to allow for early season racing.
The Night Sprints on Saturday evening are hosted by our event partner Kicking Horse Mountain Resort who is onboard to add more zing to the sprints with a live DJ, more lighting and continued grooming excellence. Plaza stores will be open for the evening and there will be a great pasta dinner included with your registration or additional tickets can be purchased for a small fee on Saturday.
The Classic TT on Sunday at Dawn Mountain will offer a more demanding hilly course this year and will surely challenge all competitors. We will be utilizing the new stadium and race trails which will be hosting racers for the very first time. Be a part of Golden Racing History!
