SuperTour Standings: Brooks and Kuzzy Qualify for January World Cups

Holly Brooks (APU)
Holly Brooks (APU) and Garrott Kuzzy (USST/CXC Team Vertical Limit) have both qualified for the January World Cup races in Estonia and Russia, based on the SuperTour standings as of today.
These World Cup starts are in addition to the U.S. quota, and offer lodging and travel reimbursement by FIS according to World Cup rules. Both USSA SuperTour Leaders have been notified of this opportunity, but have not decided if they will take advantage of it.
Brooks, a coach at APU, has won 3 of 5 SuperTour races so far this season and holds a 54 point lead on Laura Valaas (APU).
Kuzzy, despite skipping the distance race in Bozeman, is 32 points ahead of Chris Cook (Steinbock Racing).
APU currently has the top three women in the standings and the 4th place man, James Southam, Sunday’s race winner.
Two men, Cook and Leif Zimmermann (BSF/Madshus), and four women, Brooks, Valaas, Beccas Rorabaugh (APU) and Nicole DeYong (SVSEF), have scored points in all five SuperTour races.
The top Canadians, including Brooks’ toughest competition in West Yellowstone, Daria Gaiazova (CNT), did not participate in the Bozeman races. Gaiazova is still 4th in the overall women’s standings, with fellow Canadian Madeleine Williams (Alberta World Cup Academy) 5th.
