Minneapolis, Minnesota – Brian Gregg and Rebecca Dussault gave CXC Team Vertical Limit a second consecutive day on top of the podium. Dussault repeated continued her winning ways, skiing to a convincing 17 second win in the women’s 10km classic.
Gregg, 2nd in yesterday’s freestyle race, took the victory in the 15km classic, edging Martin Banerud by five seconds. Bryan Cook (CXC Team Vertical Limit) matched his place from yesterday, taking the final podium spot, edging out Sylvan Ellefson (Fischer/Team HomeGrown) by two seconds.
Yesterday’s winner, Matt Liebsch, also of CXC, was 5th, 26 seconds in back of Gregg.
The event doubled as a CCSA collegiate race. Santiago Ocariz (UWGB), 9th overall, was the top collegiate finisher.
The women’s podium wsa identical to yesterday’s, with Maria Stuber (CXC Team Vertical Limit) and Aurelia Korthaur (UAF) following Dussault.
A significant 48 seconds separated 2nd and 3rd in the mass start race.
Overall CXC took 4 of the top five places in the women’s race.
The SuperTour stays in the Midwest, heading to Cable, WI for two races on the World Cup and Birkie trails at the Telemark Resort.
