The Greatest Rollerskiing Road in the World

Kieran JonesJuly 21, 2010

Most of the continent, aside from a lucky few on isolated glaciers, has switched to dryland training, and with it comes rollerskiing.

Rollerskiing happens in many varieties, and in many places. Whether it be skinny bikepaths winding along picturesque rivers, bustling downtown streets, or rolling country roads with rednecks in pickup trucks, skiers pick some pavement and do their best to mimic the motions of  skiing. Be it on skinny tires, fat tires, classic skis, skate skis, or skis that fall apart after a few miles, rollerskiing is something which every good skier must do during the summer.

There are good rollerskis, bad rollerskis, and rollerskis where everything that could possibly go wrong seems to. What we at FasterSkier are looking for is the best of the best – The Greatest Rollerskiing Road in the World.

If you feel like you have found the absolute greatest rollerskiing place on the face of the planet, we want you to tell us about it. Submit a few photos and a brief write-up (250 words maximum) explaining why you think your location is the absolute best to rollerski. Our panel of experts will take a long, hard look at all the entries, and post the three best, at which point readers will be allowed to vote.

The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the moon with dashingly handsome and unbelievably witty FasterSkier intern Kieran Jones, as well as three pairs of Swix rollerski ferules.  The second and third place finishers will receive one pair each.

Simply fill out the form below, and your rollerski will be on it’s way to skiing superstardom!

The deadline for submissions is August 6th at 11:00 PM EST.
