Alpine and Nordic Ski Enthusiasts Enjoy One-Stop Resource for Information and Inspiration
AUBURN, N.H. — Fischer Skis U.S. today announced it has unveiled an all-new Web site at www.fischersports.com to provide ski enthusiasts with improved navigation, expanded product information, new videos, an updated dealer locator and more. The significant addition of resources and improved overall usability make the new Fischer Skis Web site a one-stop resource for anyone looking for information – and inspiration – related to Alpine and Nordic skiing.
The Fischer Web site features a fresh new design with crisp graphics and intuitive navigation for superior usability. Upon entering the site, visitors may select the Alpine or Nordic portals. From there they can explore every facet of Fischer’s world-class products, technologies and athletes; learn about the company’s rich history and commitment to environmentally-supportive practices; and find inspiration whether they prefer skiing on or off the slopes or tracks.
Fischer’s online product information has been expanded to support savvy ski enthusiasts in researching all of the season’s products and offerings in detail. The product finder tool helps skiers determine which equipment best suits their needs in just three steps. Technology sections highlight the industry’s greatest innovations in either Alpine skiing, such as Fischer’s new Vacuum Fit boot technology, or Nordic, such as the revolutionary introduction of Nordic Rocker Camber.
Fischer’s updated global dealer locator enables visitors to find dealers simply by inputting their city, state or zip code. Searches can be narrowed to pinpoint Alpine dealers, Nordic dealers, Nordic Racing Centers, C-Line dealers and Vacuum Fit dealers, making it easier than ever for skiers to find the specific Fischer products they want.
The media section features Fischer’s extensive image database with hundreds of full-color product photos, action shots, World Cup photos and technical illustrations. High resolution photos are available to the media for free and login details are available by request. Fourteen new videos are also featured here and present the company’s product and technology offerings, inspirational segments and race highlights all with music, graphics and imagery to inspire athletes of every level. Also available are technical manuals, the Alpine race folder and Nordic World, the company’s consumer-oriented cross country ski magazine.
Fischer athletes dominated the 2011 global race circuit, having won the men’s Alpine overall World Cup and 71% of the ski medals and 34% of the boot medals in the Nordic World Cup. The Web site’s new Alpine and Nordic Race Code sections feature up-to-the-minute race news plus in-depth athlete information including photos, top results, individual medal counts and a list of Fischer products they use in competition. The Alpine Race Code sub-site has a log-in for visitors to obtain even more details about racing and race product offerings.
Finally, the new Web site features links to the company’s Facebook page and free e-newsletter to foster increased interaction among consumers and the world’s leading brand in Alpine and Nordic skiing.
