Boulder, CO — Boulder Nordic Sport (BNS) is launching a new race waxing service for elite-level events at the 2011 West Yellowstone Fall Ski Festival. BNS Mobile Elite Wax Service is an economical way to get World Cup-level ski service at select FIS races for unsupported athletes or teams that do not have the budget to send their own service teams to events.
“We launched BNS Mobile last year with the goal to bring high-level ski service to events,” says BNS owner Nathan Schultz. “Our Elite Wax Service is the logical extension of our Standard Wax Service that we started last year at races like the Noquemanon, City of Lakes Loppet and the Birkie. Having a knowledgeable and professional ski service team can make a huge difference, but the cost of a complete wax kit, staff salaries and travel expenses make this inaccessible to individuals or small teams. By combining the testing and wax resources of our BNS Mobile shop, we make World Cup-level service an affordable and a viable option for athletes and club teams who are looking for the highest level of performance.”
For those utilizing our Elite Wax Service, the BNS Mobile crew will work with athletes to help them manage their ski fleets, select their race skis and race wax up to two pairs of race skis for each event. The cost will be $125 per race and is available on a limited basis for West Yellowstone, US Nationals, select SuperTour races and other high-level FIS events throughout the season. BNS Mobile Standard Wax Service for popular races will continue in 2011-2012 with BNS Mobile coverage of The Noquemanon, City of Lakes Loppet, Boulder Mountain Tour, Mora Vasaloppet, American Birkebeiner and select NENSA events. Standard Service for those events will be $85, or $75 per race for those who sign up early on-line at bouldernordic.com.
