Maine Winter Sports Center Accepting Athletes

The Maine Winter Sports Center has opened applications for its 2012-2013 teams. Applications for Cross-Country and Biathlon Olympic Development Teams, Regional Elite Team, and Collegiate Summer Training Group.

Cross-Country and Biathlon Olympic Development and Regional Elite Teams offer support for athletes seeking to earn World Cup starts for the U.S. MWSC offers housing, health insurance, and full travel support, including European training and racing, to Olympic Development Team members. Regional Elite Team members receive housing assistance and travel support to U.S. Nationals, New England and Eastern Canadian events. Athletes must reside in Maine. MWSC has 4-5 additional athlete spaces for Olympic Development and Regional Elite Team athletes.

Applications are due by April 1^st. Acceptances will be issued no later than April 15^th.

Collegiate Summer Training Group is limited to athletes ranked in the top 200 on the final USSA NRL. Options for both cross-country and biathlon development are available. Assistance with housing, full training support and excellent facilities available for those seeking to take their collegiate racing to the next level.
