This is the American Birkebeiner’s fourth annual Birkie T-Shirt Design Contest. The contest is held every year in June. Skiers and non-skiers alike, and even first time artists, are encouraged to enter the design contest.

“This contest is one more way to be involved in the Birkie events and to express your Birkie Fever,” said Ned Zuelsdorff, Executive Director of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation. “Proceeds from sales of the 2012 T-shirt will benefit young skier programs. We hope that people will consider supporting the American Birkebeiner’s effort to foster youth skiing.”

Recognition and Prizes, Too!

The winning T-shirt design will be part of the largest and most prestigious cross country ski event in North America. As well as being recognized for their winning design on the Official Birkie T-Shirt of 2013, the artist will receive a new pair of Fischer skis, either Classic or Skate. New Moon Ski & Bike in Hayward, WI, will provided both the bindings for the skis and the mounting. The winner also receives a complimentary race registration to the 2013 or 2014 American Birkebeiner and a VIP Parking Pass to the Race Start.
