MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Brian and Caitlin Gregg, renown Nordic skiers and 2014 Sochi Olympic hopefuls, announced today an event planned for this weekend in support of the National Nordic Foundation, cross country skiing’s grassroots funding organization.

“We’re hoping for a flash mob of skiers this weekend,” explained Caitlin Gregg of the effort. With support from their sponsors, the Greggs will be offering up a ski clinic as well as products, stickers, coupons and more to entice would-be racers to attend their 90 minute outreach session. The clinic will focus on technique and training to improve for the coming race season.

“We’re thrilled to have the Greggs lend a hand in the effort to support Nordic racing,” explained Dave Knoop, Executive Director for the National Nordic Foundation, “The Drive for 25 is our biggest push, our most grassroots effort and this is a perfect example of the community supporting itself.”

The Team Gregg / NNF event will take place this coming Saturday, September 28th at the Theodore Wirth Beach Parking Lot (3375 Glenwood Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55411) from 4:00PM until 5:30PM. Participants should bring bounding or classic poles, rain gear and 2 to 3lb rocks for resistance training.
