EISA action continued today in the second day of the Colby College Carnival. In the women’s 10 k freestyle race the University of Vermont’s Linda Danvind-Malm posted the fastest time in 28:16.8, which was 12 seconds faster than Dartmouth College’s Annie Hart. UVM’s Anja Gruber grabbed the third step on the podium 21 seconds behind her teammate.
In the men’s race it was UVM’s Scott Patterson who blazed around the 15 k course in 35:26.1, gapping the field by over a minute. Dartmouth’s Patrick Caldwell came next 1:03 behind Patterson while Middlebury’s Ben Lustgarten took the bronze 1:21 off the pace.
