Biathlon Alberta, the provincial governing body for the Olympic winter sport of Biathlon, is seeking applications for a full‐time General Manager, based in Canmore, Alberta.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE
- Must be self‐motivated, entrepreneurial, and be able to work with little supervision
- Demonstrate ethical qualities and works to instill the virtues of fair play and sportsmanship in all aspects ofthe program
- Ability to motivate, build trust, and gain the confidence of athletes, coaches, affiliated clubs, Board, Alberta Sport Connection, and other stakeholders
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, organizational expertise, and be team focused
- Significant experience in biathlon as an athlete and/or coach
- Willing to travel to races
- Familiar with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP)
- Maintain a current firearms Possession and Acquisition License (PAL)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the affairs of Biathlon Alberta, and Biathlon Alberta Training Centre
- Interact on a regular basis with Biathlon Canada
- Maintain relations with key funding stakeholders – Alberta Sport Connection, Winsport
- Prepare grant applications
- Publish and maintain results, annual calendar, website and social media
- Bookkeeping and Financials (annual budget)
- Attend monthly Alberta Biathlon Board Meetings
- Maintain air rifle borrowing program
EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Full‐time employee
SALARY
Commensurate with experience, ranging from $42,000 to $54,000
