Mammoth Junior Nordic Programs Seeking Head Coach

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and Eastern Sierra Nordic Ski Association are seeking a qualified individual to run their junior program. Programs include CNISSF middle and high school teams, as well as a club junior competition team. The current teams are in need of an enthusiastic head coach, who will further develop the existing programs. Mammoth Lakes, CA offers a long ski season and many high quality dry land training venues.

10-month position, hours ranging from 15-30 hours a week, depending on the season (June-March)

• Responsible for hands-on coaching of high school and comp teams
• Oversight of middle school program, will work with middle school coach at some practices and at school races
• Responsible for training planning for high school and comp teams
• Travel to school league races and Junior National Qualifiers
• Overall program development from Gliders through comp programs
• Assist with fundraising activities
• Work with Tamarack Cross Country to host school races and JNQ
• Work with volunteers
• Develop a relationship with local media and a presence on social media for the teams
• Supplemental work opportunities available
