Results from the women’s 1.6 k freestyle sprint qualifier: Sadie Bjornsen, Sophie Caldwell, and Jessie Diggins made the heats for the U.S. Full qualification results are below.

In the men’s 1.6 k skate sprint qualifier, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo set the fastest time with a 3:07.61. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo. For the U.S., Simi Hamilton qualified in 11th and Logan Hanneman 29th. Alex Harvey for Canada qualified in 23rd. They were the only North Americans to qualify for the heats.
