Central Regional High Performance Team Seeks Head Coach

The Head Coach will be responsible for organizing and administering all aspects of the team, including: coaching, camp & event scheduling, supervision of program personnel and budget management, in order to achieve podium performances at the national and international level.  

• Plan, coordinate and monitor the training, race preparation and competition of team athletes. 
• Create and monitor individualized training plans for all team athletes. 
• Collaborate thoroughly with the technical pieces of the sport, including ski selection, ski preparation and staff scheduling. 
• Ensure long-term vision and periodization of training and racing to optimize athlete development and performance. 
• Schedule, administer and manage all training camps and competition trips.
• Manage budget and work cooperatively on team sponsorship and fundraising
• Be a leader and resource for junior coaches and athletes in the Central region

• Demonstrated successful coaching experience
• Demonstrated ability to create a strong team environment 
• Demonstrate ability to address the emotional and psychological challenges that athletes experience
• Proven success leading teams of athletes to the highest level of success in their sport. 
• Proven ability to inspire and mentor athletes
• Thorough understanding of the scientific basis of training and peaking for performance with a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge. 
• A bachelor’s degree or higher level of education is preferable. 
• Academic and practical background in metabolic and performance testing
• Completion of a background screening and SafeSport training.
• Level 200 USSA Coaches certification, or equivalent
