As a part of her “Project Beijing,” Krista Pärmäkoski has signed a new two-year contract with her long-term partner Madshus.

The 29-year-old Finnish skier is aiming for the podium both at the 2021 FIS World Championships in Obersdorf (GER) and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing (China).

While months in the works, the contract was an easy decision for both sides, and Pärmäkoski will be racing on Madshus skis and ski boots through the 2022 Olympics.

“I believe that you can win Olympic and World Championships medals with Madshus skis,” says Pärmäkoski, who has been really satisfied with the Madshus service and product development.

“Over the past years, we have been able to take part in the development of Madshus skis and carbon boots. Madshus has a really professional development team, and the communication and team work has worked really well.”

Pärmäkoski, who has skied on Madshus skis all of her career, has competed in three Olympic Games (Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018) and six FIS World Championships (Liberec 2009, Oslo 2011, Val di Fiemme 2013, Falun 2015, Lahti 2017 and Seefeld 2019), taking home a total of four Olympic medals and six World Championship medals.

“Actually, my very first skis, which were so-called combi-skis, were Madshus skis. All of my skis have been the same brand ever since my childhood, so it has been quite a journey together,” Pärmäkoski says.
