Located on over 120K of world-class terrain, Snow Mountain Ranch’s Nordic Center is the place to be for classic Nordic skiing, skate skiing, and skijoring. The Nordic Center is located and operated out of YMCA of the Rockies – Snow Mountain Ranch, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center, serving more than 50,000 guests annually. The resort is located in Granby, Colorado, near Winter Park Resort and Grand Lake, Colorado, the gateway town of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Nordic Center Staff

As a Nordic Center Staff member you will be an integral member of the Nordic Center team which conducts the daily operations of Snow Mountain Ranch’s Nordic Center. Our award winning center offers over 100kms of groomed ski trails and provides guest a world class Nordic experience in the heart of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Duties include opening and closing the Center, fitting and recording ski rentals and sales of equipment, issuing trail passes, ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the Center and its immediate surroundings, assisting on race days, answering phones and resolving questions about the trail system. This position is available as a seasonal job or volunteer opportunity. This position offers the Rocky Mountain Living Package which includes great employee perks like lodging, all meals provided, no rental agreement or credit check, all utilities, free or discounted gear rentals, ski passes, and an hourly wage of $12.56 – $13.61/hour.

Head Nordic Trail Groomer

The Head Nordic Groomer is responsible for laying down a high-quality snow/trail product. This will be accomplished by operating and maintaining a Nordic grooming equipment fleet including snowmobiles, with pull-behind implements such as track setters and rollers, and when properly trained, the Head Nordic groomer will operate the cat groomer. The Head Groomer will also supervisor other groomers. Groomers are also responsible for on-going trail maintenance during the winter season, which requires the ability to safely operate chainsaws and other trail maintenance equipment. Nordic Shop Supervisor

Under the supervision of the Nordic Director, the Nordic Center Supervisor trains, schedules, and supervises Nordic Center staff and volunteers. The Nordic Center Supervisor will schedule ski lessons as well as on demand events, maintain inventory control, supervise daily shop operations, and assist in preparing for larger Nordic Events.
