The National Nordic Foundation (NNF) and with Lumi Experiences are excited to extend a special invitation to support US skiing at the 2023 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, Slovenia.
This unique, 7-day trip features grandstand seating for the first week of World Championships, including the classic sprints, skiathlon and skate team sprints – some of the best medal events for the US (the full schedule can be found here). When you’re not trailside cheering on your favorite athletes, the trip features a variety of cultural activities, hallmarks of a Lumi Experiences trip: daily skiing within a short walk from your hotel in Italy, a boat ride on Slovenia’s picturesque Lake Bled, a World War I walk through the mountain trenches led by your hotel’s historian, and sledding and lunch at a trailside hut above Italy’s emerald green Lago di Fusine. And of course, daily ski waxing, plus support and insights from your local trip leaders to make the most out of some of southern Europe’s best ski venues. The best part? Proceeds from this trip will help provide the financial platform to continue the Trail to Gold Fellowship (T2G), inaugurated this year to provide talented US women coaches with World Cup coaching experience.
