About one month to go until the 48th Great Labrador Loppet hosted by Menihek Nordic Ski Club, which takes place on March 25th, 2023. The Loppet is about having fun with friends and family while sharing in the excitement of being part of a Labrador West tradition.
Registration is now active with more Loppet details below and on zone4.ca. Sign your family up at zone4.ca (search bar Menihek Nordic Ski Club) and create your own memories.
This year, race distances offered are 10 km skate/classic/snowshoe, 20 km and 30 km as well as the 2.5 km and 5 km for children & their chaperones around Tanya Lake. The 20 km and 30 km races will start at 9:30 am on Tanya Lake (by the old scout hall parking lot end).
20 km skiers go to Duley Park then return to White Wolf Snowmobile Club and 30 km skiers go to the NL border before returning to the snowmobile club. The 10 km skiers/snowshoers will start at 10:30 am – Duley Park. Buses leave the Walmart parking lot at 9:45 am. The children’s races will start at 11:00 am – White Wolf Snowmobile.
