Ski and Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) is one of the premier junior ski clubs in the country. SSCV’s Nordic Program is in the Rocky Mountain Division and competes at regional and national level annually. The surrounding valley and communities provide a fantastic environment for training, outdoor recreation, and excellent alpine skiing nearby. Additionally, SSCV operates Maloit Park on behalf of the Eagle County School District, which provides a high-quality training and racing venue for SSCV program members.
Ski and Snowboard Club Vail is accepting applications for a Head Coach to oversee U14 and younger programming. The primary coaching responsibility will be for the U14/U12 Prep Team, with some oversight of the SSCV Future Stars Programming (U10-U6 program).

Reports to: Nordic Program Director Employment: 10-month full-time seasonal Compensation: $27,500-$30,000, DOE

Responsibilities include preparing for and coaching daily training, race-day preparation and coaching, and race travel. The programming should emphasize long-term development, age-appropriate training and activities, and a positive team culture. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, technical knowledge and understanding of the sport, and the ability to work alongside the Nordic Program Director and Comp/Devo Head coach to provide high-quality programming for all members. Hours will vary seasonally, with more hours from November to March and reduced hours in spring, summer, and fall. Previous schedule has generally been 3 sessions/week June-October, 5-7 sessions/week November-March and travel for races.
