The Blink 23 roller-ski competition is this weekend. It’s most famous for the giant uphill climb known as the Lysebotn Opp. On the other end of the spectrum are the distance events. On Thursday the men and women competed in a 50 kilometer roller ski race.

In the men’s race, perennial World Cup crowd favorite Andrew Musgrave (GBR) took first place by sprinting away from the field. Thomas Joly (FRA) was 25 seconds behind Musgrave, followed closely by Petter Northug (NOR).
