Development Coach Overview: The City of Waterville is accepting applications for the position of Development Coach for Quarry Road Trails. This position will work under the direction of the City of Waterville’s Quarry Road Trails Program Director. The Development Coach will help organize and lead the Quarry Road Ski Club’s youth and middle school Nordic ski programs. This position will provide high-caliber coaching and assistance to Quarry Road Ski Club’s athletes, volunteer coaches, high school team, and provide event and competition oversight. The Development Coach shall be a full-time benefits-eligible employee for the City of Waterville from November 2024 through March 2025.
About Quarry Road Ski Club : QRSC, formerly Central Maine Ski Club, is a US Ski & Snowboard Association certified club based at Quarry Road Trails in Waterville, ME. The club is organized through a collaboration between the City of Waterville’s Parks and Recreation Department and the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Friends of Quarry Road. QRSC aims to provide accessible and fun ski programs for all ages and ability levels. The club organizes Nordic ski programs for almost 200 participants annually. In addition to youth Nordic programs, the club organizes introductory alpine ski lessons, adult Nordic ski groups, and a variety of ski competitions and events throughout the winter.
