SWIX SuperTour Finals arrive this week at Mt. Van Hoevenberg—storied cross-country venue of the 1980 Olympics in Lake Plaid, NY—to offer North American skiers the very best in spring competition. NCAA Championships concluded only a few weeks ago, and the best and brightest from collegiate skiing will be in Lake Placid. Nordiq Canada Ski Nationals concluded only last week, and many of those contenders have traveled south for even more continental-class racing. Junior Nationals concluded only a few weeks ago in Soldier Hollow, and America’s most ambitious up-and-comers will be in Lake Placid to measure their progress against that of their heroes. Many US Team members recently returned from World Cup competitions will be on hand, rubbing shoulders with their American counterparts. Bragging rights are at stake, and Spring Nationals titles, and the sort of attention that may secure World Cup starts for lucky skiers next season.
