McCall Winter Sports Club

The McCall Winter Sports Club (MWSC is a member club in the Intermountain Division) is looking to fill a Head Nordic coaching position.  The MWSC is a combined Nordic, Alpine, and Big Mountain program that is based in the mountains of McCall, Idaho.  Currently, the Nordic Program has approximately 70 participants that are supported by a core group of assistant coaches and parent volunteers.

McCall boasts a great variety of Nordic ski areas that offer skiing from late November through mid-March.  The three primary Nordic ski areas (Bear Basin, Ponderosa State Park, and Jug Mountain Ranch) have extensive trail offerings that provide a wide range of terrain for skiing.

McCall, ID (population ~3,000) is a small mountain resort town located on the shores of Payette Lake.  It is located 100 miles north of Boise, Idaho (state capital with an area population ~ 350,000+). There are three local alpine ski areas that serve your lift serve needs (The Little Ski Hill, Brundage Mountain and Tamarack Resort) and excellent access to backcountry skiing.  McCall is also situated in the heart of some of the best river running (kayak/raft) in the U.S.  There are ample mountain lakes and bike trails to explore.
