If, like most athletes, you are unable to attend the meetings in Park City,
you can still make your voice heard by contacting your athlete representative
or regional representative to let them know your opinion on issues that affect
cross country racing in the United States. Topics discussed at these meeting
cover a wide array of subjects, but usually include race schedules, points lists,
athlete development, Junior Nationals, and much more.
Your athletes representatives hold voting seats on the Cross Country committee
and they are there specifically to voice your concerns as athletes. The athlete
reps are John Engen, Nina Kemppel and Chris Klein. If you are a USSA member
and you have any ideas or concerns that you would like voiced at the USSA Meetings,
you should get in touch with them.
They have set up an email address specifically to hear from you. You can reach
them at: xcathletereps@earthlink.net
