Annual classic ski race features 30k, 15k, & 5k distances
Crosscut Mountain Sports Center is delighted to announce the “first” annual First Security Bank Sacajawea Classic on Saturday, February 12. Three distances are available: 30k, 15k, and 5k. Additionally, kids 12 and under ski free in their own race. Crosscut’s facilities will open at 7:30am on race day, with the first racers starting at 9am.
Registered racers are welcome to stay and ski free on Crosscut’s 45k of pristine trails on Sunday, February 13. Refreshments will be provided in the warming shelter from 10am-2pm.
“We are keen to kick off our first annual Sacajawea Classic race at Crosscut! We are eager for this race to gain traction and draw with the Nordic community and attract skiers from across the nation to travel to beautiful Bozeman each winter and enjoy what Crosscut and our local communities have to offer. Good luck to all skiers!”, stated Crosscut executive director Jen Beaston.
Registration is open at: https://www.crosscutmt.org/sacagawea-classic and discounted hotel rooms are being offered at the Hilton Garden Inn for all participants. Cash prizes of $250, $500, and $1000 are up for grabs for men and women in the 30k division.
