The 1990 World Champion cross-country mountain biker, Ned Overend won the race. He maintained pace with the front group and waited until the final lap to surge ahead on the climbs to take the 30km race in 1:19:03. Snow conditions were fantastic and the course was close to 40 minutes faster for the racers this year.
