SIMONS CLOSES THE SEASON ACHIEVING HIS SEASON GOAL

Zach Simons, who trained with national team sprint coach Vidar Loefshus over the summer and during the season, achieved his season's goal by winning the SuperTour Sprint overall title. </p>
<p>Simons, who scored his first major victory in front of his mother's hometown crowd during Madison, Wisconsin's downtown Capitol Square Sprints, captured the overall title on the last day of the 2005 SuperTour. The SuperTour Finals were contested during the Colorado International Spring Series in Winter Park.</p>
