The Grand Mesa Nordic Council has begun its 2010/2011 season! On Tuesday (10/26/10), we fired up the snow machines and groomed Scales Lake trail out to the radio tower. The total snow depth was about 14″, though we may have received a few more overnight. The trail is groomed for both skating and classic, and offers about 10km of skiing (5km out and back). We’ll touch up the trail again for the weekend.
The Grand Mesa Nordic trails are located on the Grand Mesa in Western Colorado. Grooming is funded entirely by donations and memberships to the non-profit Grand Mesa Nordic Council.
