The 2008-09 Colorado Cup series of cross-country ski races organized by Rocky Mountain Nordic (501c3) is ready to take place from December through February on five premier event weekends across Colorado. The cumulatively scored series allows skiers to compete by gender overall or by gender and age group in both classic and skate techniques. Each competition takes place along with other events allowing citizen skiers and their families to enjoy Nordic skiing in several different ways during each weekend.

The first 10k Classic in Steamboat Springs lets the Juniors go off in the morning and then Masters follow all on Steamboat’s historic Howleson Hill trails, site of World Cup Nordic Combined events. The Aspen Nordic Ski Festival and Owl Creek Chase 21k Freestyle combines Super Tour races, JNQs, and the University of Colorado NCAA Invitational. Crested Butte’s 42k Freestyle Alley Loop and other distances and techniques always ends up being a great event in a great ski town. Devil’s Thumb Ranch hosts a 15/10k Freestyle race, the Governor’s Cup Keep Winter White non-competitive tour, and the University of Denver NCAA Invitational. The series wraps up with the traditional Snow Mountain Ranch Stampede 21k Classic along with other techniques and distances.

The Colorado Cup is sponsored by Boulder Nordic Sport and Clif Bar and benefits Rocky Mountain Nordic and its junior Nordic skiing programs in the Colorado region. Thank you for your support!
