Early Snow Opportunity in Northern Maine

Maine Winter Sports Center and Big Rock Ski Area are pleased to announce an opportunity for early season skiing during Thanksgiving week. The exact opening day will depend on weather but will occur as early in the week as possible. Big Rock will be making snow all around the base of their mountain, thus allowing cross-country skiers access to at least 1 kilometer of groomed trail. In addition, Maine Winter Sports Center coaching staff will be offering ski camp opportunities for both youth and adults. The Big Rock Cafe located in the base lodge will be open with a variety of healthy food for sale including salads, soups, sandwiches, chili, and more.
