Chillin’ Like a Villin

It’s cold in Alaska right now! I am currently finishing up my relaxed morning… not because I am lazy and slept until 10 for no reason, but caused by the fact that I am waiting until afternoon to ski. Waiting for those few degrees of solar reprieve is definitely worth it these days. It’s even chilly enough for me to wear one of those accursed masks during intervals! Those devils’ spawn cause simple intervals to become a purgatory of a diaphragm workout. Not only are your legs and core shrieking for forgiveness, but your diaphragm, the lonely little lung-expander under your breastbone, is also writhing in pain.

Okay, I exaggerate a little… they just make breathing a little harder and it’s totally worth it because your lungs survive the cold. And, it’s probably good altitude training, or toughness training, or both.

In any case, I am done procrasti-blogging. Off to another beautiful workout… at least the scenery is amazing and the sky is clear when it’s cold like this!
