Rybinsk, Russia – The World Cup pursuit scheduled for today was canceled due to cold temperatures.
“The temperature limit for a Cross-Country race is -20, unfortunately we couldn’t reach it so far so consequently we had to cancel the men’s Pursuit. For sure it is a pity, but the health of the athletes is the most import point,” stated Jürg Capol, FIS Race Director.
The temperature at race time was -21.7 C. The minimum allowed temperature is -20 C.
The World Cup resumes February 13-14 in Valdidentro, Italy.
