Martin Fourcade Introduces His ‘Wall of Trophies’

On Nov. 4, at the Rossignol Headquarters in Saint-Jean-de-Moirans, France, defending IBU World Cup champion Martin Fourcade introduced his “wall of trophies” in the presence of many journalists and employees of the factory.

The double overall World Cup winner and five time World Champion wished to display all his trophies in Rossignol’s factory, the brand of skis and ski boots he used since his childhood: “It was natural for me that my globes and my medals are exposed at Rossignol’s headquarters. It’s a company which I like and which returns it to me for years by allowing me to gain all these awards.”

The huge list of Martin Fourcade’s accomplishments are represented in this vitrine: 2 big crystal globes of Overall World Cup Winner, 7 small crystal globes : Sprint (2012 et 2013), Pursuit (2010, 2012 et 2013), Mass Start (2013) and Individual (2013), one silver Olympic medal in Mass Start 2010 and 12 World medals: five in gold, six in silver, one in bronze. We can also find a pair of skis in this vitrine. It’s the number 8554, the one with which Martin Fourcade won his first title of World Champion in Khanty- Mansiysk in 2011.

Rossignol and its CEO Bruno Cercley are very proud to share this “wall of trophies” with Martin Fourcade and wish for him to reach his main goal this season: win a gold medal in Sochi Olympic Games. “This vitrine symbolizes our attachment for the competition.
