Rezac’s skis were lost by the airline and the Swedish Vasaloppet winner Oscar Svard let him use one of his pairs. Svard ended up in second place, 11 seconds behind the winner. Chinese skier Li Geliang was third and Havard Skorstad of Norway was fourth

– We had exactly the same glide, so it wasn’t the skis that decided the race, said Svard.
The Chinese Vasloppet is 50-kilometer long.

The results showed great progress for the Chinese skiers. Their national team skiers have never been this close to the European top long distance skiers as in this race. The women’s race was won by Li Hongxue of China.

This was the fourth time Vasaloppet in China was organized. It’s run in cooperation with the Chinese Ski Federation and the Swedish/Norwegian organization Nordic Ways.
Regular World Cup races will be held in China at the end of this season
