Executive Director Position Description Summary
Want to live and play in beautiful Lake Tahoe? Tahoe Cross Country and Tahoe Cross Country Ski Education Association (TXC) are looking for a new Executive Director. The ski area was established in 1975 and operated by other concessionaires until 1999. TXC has been operating as a non-profit for 18 years. TXC operates under a concession agreement with Tahoe City PUD. In addition to normal cross country ski operations, TXC oversees several youth programs with participation of over a thousand skier days per year.
The Executive Director (ED) works closely with the Board to ensure compliance with legal, financial, health and safety regulations that apply to TXC operations. ED will oversee as many as 30 employees and manage annual incomes in the $650,000 range. Operations oversite will be very important in the first year. Fund raising and program development are also very important functions for this position.
