Bjørgen Bests Randall in Photo Finish in Davos Sprint, A Reminder to Each to Keep Working

Marit Bjørgen might be the best skier in the world (although Justyna Kowalczyk would have something to say about that). Kikkan Randall might be the best sprinter. But after a tight photo finish in the Davos freestyle sprint today, both realized they will need to get even better if they want go into the upcoming Olympics feeling confident about gold.

When Martin Fourcade used a formidable uphill sprint to take the lead with a kilometer to go, it looked like Emil Hegle Svendsen was out of the picture, relegated to silver. But the Norwegian somehow managed to drag himself back onto Fourcade's tails and slingshot around him into the finishing lanes, then win one of the closest World Championships photo finishes in recent memory.
