A Peek at Races This Weekend

We are now in the heart of the racing season, with lots going on each weekend.
Some of the major races this weekend:

World Cup:
The World Cup makes a stop in Oberhof, Germany this weekend for classic races
and a sprint relay. Kris Freeman, making his first World Cup start of the year,
will be joining his American teammates who raced last weekend in Nove Mesto.

North American Continental Cup
The Continental Cup moves from Mont Sainte Anne to Mont Orford, Quebec for a
5/10K freestyle on Saturday and 10/15K mass start classic race on Sunday. Race

Worldloppet
On Sunday, the 26th, the Italian Marcialonga Ski Marathon will take place. Yesterday
morning the organising committee decided to change the start from Moena to Pozza
di Fassa. The 30th Marcialonga will be 60km long. Race

American Ski Marathon Series
There are two ASMS races going on this weekend. The Lake Placid Loppet in
Lake Placid, NY and the Noquemanon in Marquette, Michigan. Despite low snow
conditions in the midwest, the Noquemanon will go on due to tireless efforts
by volunteers and a little lake effect snow. More Info

Collegiate Racing
The Eastern NCAA teams will be at the UNH Carnival in Jackson, NH. The Central
NCAA teams will be at St. Olaf Invitational at Wolverine Trails in Ironwood,
MI. The western teams do not have an NCAA meet this weekend. More
