Jizerska padesatka is the race that marks the beginning of the high season of long distance cross-country skiing in 2002/2003. Jizerska padesatka (50 km C) in Czech Republic will open both Worldloppet high season and FIS Marathon Cup circuit on Sunday, January 12.
Worldloppet Ski Federation, consisting of 14 races from Europe, America, Asia and Australia and, is the union of the most known long distance popular cross-country ski races in the world. Since January 12 to March 22 one or two Worldloppet races take place somewhere in the world every weekend.
