, the well-groomed man-made snow at Soldier Hollow provided great conditions for the US Ski Team sponsored attempt at breaking this very new (and unofficial) World Record. The 100-meter distance is not currently used at any international or nationally sanctioned Cross-Country events, but is growing in popularity around the World as the equivalent to the 100-meter dash in Track & Field.<br />
