Now that the racing season is well underway, it is time to check out the standings. There was a lot of racing last week, and if you didn't catch all of it, you can get up to speed now by seeing who is on top of the points standings in the Nor Am competitions and the World Cup.
As would be expected, the only skiers to score points in all Nor Am SuperTour races this season are currently at the top of the SuperTour Points List. But Aelin Peterson and Dave Chamberlain did not just score points in each race, they also each picked up one victory along the way. Chamberlain has already built a healthy lead, nearly doubling the points total of his nearest competitor. Camberlain has 101 points, while Trond Flagstad and James Southam, winners of the Nor Am openers in Anchorage are tied for second with 51 points.
In the women's, Wendy Wagner had two wins in West Yellowstone, picking up 60 points. But Peterson maintains the overall lead with 97 points thanks to strong performances in all four races so far. Kikkan Randall is third with 46 points.
In the World Cup, after three weekends of races, things remain close. Top three men:
