“Let the celebrations begin” is the motto in the world famouse xc town Lienz this days. Austrians most important xc ski race celebrates its 30th edition. As a founding member of Worldloppet and Euroloppet it specially welcomes all the partecipants from overseas. Registrations from Australia, USA, Great Britain, Japan, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, New Zeeland and many other countries have allready been received by the organizing comitee.
Also some of the top-athletes of the world will honour the Dolomitenlauf by participating in the anniversary Race. “One of the best wave ever will start at the Dolomitenlauf” stated Franz Theurl, Chief of the organisation board.
All tracks ready! Dolomitenlauf will be held on the original course in Lienz!
The first top-highlight will be the Dolomiten-Sprint in the historic center of Lienz. It was the first sprint race event in the whole world, so we are proud that also this year the top sprinters will start at the main-square on Friday, 17th January 2004 (6 pm).
A big fire-work and a big party just after the Dolomiten-Sprint on Friday will announce the begin of the big celebrations. Spectators should not miss this unique Evening and come to Lienz and celebrate with us.
