World Cup Marathon Winner Roberto DeZolt Heads Team SOLDA/TBS at 2004 The American Birkie

Roberto DeZolt, the winner of this season’s first long distance FIS Marathon Cup and Worldloppet race, The Sgambeda, will head a good group of SOLDA/TorbjornSport skiers at the Birkie. He is joined by team-mate Ivan Margaroli, also a member of the Italian National long-distance team. Here’s some personal information on our two Birkie race favorites:

ROBERTO DE ZOLT was born in Tolmezzo, Italy in 1970, is 6 feet (180 cm) tall and weighs 73 kg. He has been part of the Italian National Team since 1988. This year’s goals are to win the overall FIS MARATHON CUP, where he is currently number 4. His favorite food is green pepper filet steak with his favorite wine Brunello di Montalcino. Favorite wax: Solda PowerJet/2.
